Advanced Manufacturing in Stainless Steel & Alloys
Corrosion Resistance for Aggressive Environments
Standard steel is not enough for modern industry. At G&G Ingenieros, we specialize in processing high-performance alloys.
Whether you are handling phosphoric acid, abrasive slurries, or injectable pharmaceutical products, we select and certify
the right material to guarantee the lifespan of your agitator.
1. Material Selection
🛠️ Standard Stainless
AISI 304L / 316L: The backbone of the food and water industry. We use exclusively European-origin certified plates.
💪 Duplex & Super Duplex
SAF 2205 / 2507: High mechanical strength and superior pitting resistance (PREN > 40). Mandatory for Desalination and Chloride-rich environments.
🧪 Exotic Alloys
Titanium, Hastelloy C-276, 904L: For extreme chemical attack (Sulfuric Acid, Bleach, High Temperature).
2. Surface Finishing & Polishing
A smooth surface is the only way to prevent bacterial growth and cross-contamination.
- Industrial Finish (Pickled & Passivated): Removal of all welding heat tints to restore the passive corrosion-resistant layer. Standard for Water Treatment.
- Food Grade (Ra < 0.8 µm): Ground and polished welds. Easy to clean (CIP) and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Pharma Grade (Ra < 0.4 µm + Electropolishing): Mirror finish for sterile processes. Essential for bioreactors and injectables.
3. Special Coatings (Rubber Lining)
When metallic solutions are too expensive (e.g., massive shafts for corrosive slurries), we apply high-performance linings over Carbon Steel:
- Ebonite (Hard Rubber): Excellent for abrasive slurries and general acids.
- Butyl Rubber: Superior for high temperatures.
- Halar (ECTFE) / Teflon: For extreme chemical resistance.
An example as manufacturers of stainless steel agitators
G&G engineers have manufactured the wine agitator composed of geared motor, mooring flange, mechanical seal and shaft with propeller. All in stainless steel AISI-316L with 2B polished finish. These types of agitators are of great application where it is required to agitate relatively large volumes of liquid with a need for medium or gentle agitation. Read more
